About Me
Kate is a Professional Clinical Counselor, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, NARM practitioner and a Certified Enneagram Teacher in the Narrative tradition. Kate has completed extensive training in all of the above mentioned modalities. Kate is a life long-learner and continues to pursue mastering several therapy approaches to stay on the leading edge of therapeutic advances.
Kate utilizes somatic awareness and inquiry techniques coupled with mindfulness practices to process through deeply held (often blocked) emotions and sensations. Her ultimate goal is help restore one’s innate vitality and aliveness. Somatic Experiencing SE® and NARM are highly effective methods for regulating the nervous system and the fear, panic, anger and frozen states that can arise in stressful or unexpected situations. Many clients report “feeling more like themselves than they have in years"
after an SE® or NARM session.
In a warm, collaborative, and supportive manner, Kate is instrumental in helping clients navigate through difficult times getting beneath unwanted patterns in one’s life and relationships. She believes all individuals have the ability to move forward achieving personal growth and recovery no matter how complex the problem appears. Areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and addiction. Her experience includes individual and group therapy in both agency and private practice settings. She also works with family members of alcoholics/addicts.
